South Boston police need help locating missing man

The South Boston Police Department needs your help locating a 24-year-old missing man.

John Dunwell Samen, a resident of an adult group home in South Boston, left for a walk on Sunday afternoon and hasn't returned. 

He's described as a white male, five feet nine inches, 165 pounds, blonde hair and blue eyes.  He was last seen wearing a red checkered coat with a hood and blue jeans.

According to a news release, he was last seen in the area of Broad and Charles Street in South Boston on Sunday night.   

Anyone with information is asked to call the South Boston Police Department at 434-575-4271.

On 12-07-09, the South Boston Police Department received a call that a 24 year old W/M, John Dunwell Samen, a resident of an adult group home in South Boston, had left walking on 12-06-09 around 1:30 pm and had not returned.  This person is described as a W/M, 24 years of age, having blonde hair and blue eyes and being 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 165 lbs.  Reports received by the police indicate he was seen on the night of 12-06-09 in the area of Broad and Charles Street in South Boston.  He was last seen wearing a red checkered coat with a hood and blue jeans.   Anyone having information as to the whereabouts of John Dunwell Samen is asked to contact the South Boston Police Department at 434-575-4271.

A picture of Samen is attached; however, it is believed he now has a shorter, spiked style haircut (blonde) and is believed to currently have no facial hair.
