The NCAA Final Four is still one month away, but on the high school level teams looked to advance to the state semi-finals this afternoon. The Salem Civic Center had a full slate of games on Saturday.

Patrick Henry versus Langley

Patrick Henry playing close to home against Langley. The Patriots scored the first 14 points and held Langley scoreless in the first quarter.

Patrick Henry is on to the state semifinals with a 58 to 36 win over Langley.

East Montgomery versus Appalachia

Appalachia holds off Eastern Montgomery 38 to 33.

Bland Co. verus Ervinton

The Lady Bears were in a hole to start the second half. Laurel Hankins had 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Ervinton went on to win 66 to 46.

Glenvar versus Lee High

The Generals were on fire in the first half. Glenvar got to within four but came up short 62 to 54 to Lee.

Cave Spring versus Waynesbor

The defending state champion Cave Spring Knights looking to earn a trip back to Richmond. Waynesboro in their way. Cave Spring advances with the 57-49 win.

Salem versus Spottswood

Salem playing literally at home at the Civic Center against Spotswood. The Spartans lost 60- 53.

Bassett versus Turner

Turner Ashby gets the win in a close one 49-48.
