Martinsville competes for Google's ultra-high speed network

Martinsville is one of the latest Virginia cities to go gaga over Google.

The Internet giant plans to test its new ultra-high speed broadband networks in a small number of communities across the country.

Martinsville already has a fiber optic system, but winning the competition would not only make Internet access better but 100 times faster.

Richmond, Hampton and Virginia Beach are also courting the Internet giant.
