Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli is leaning on the state's law firms for some help with his latest cause.
Cuccinelli was in the Roanoke Valley Monday afternoon. He visited the Southwestern Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank.
He was promoting the Legal Food Frenzy, a statewide campaign that has collected almost four million pounds of food for Virginia food banks over the last three years.
"I was on the phone on my way here calling a couple of firms trying to crowbar them in, and you get an interesting response as attorney general when you call law firms in Virginia, and it's worked pretty well," said Cuccinelli.
Cuccinelli was also scheduled to visit the Rescue Mission Monday afternoon, and he's meeting with members of the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce Tuesday morning.
