With the run of great weather we've had lately, motorcycles riders have spent a lot of time on the road.

Many of them will take a drive to this weekend's second annual Blue Ridge Bike Fest at the Roanoke Civic Center.

It's a three-day event that features great music and something for every bike enthusiasts.

There are stunt shows, custom bikes, vendors and more.

Blue Ridge Bike Fest drew a crowd of 8,000 last year.

Organizers expect to double that number with this weekend's event.

"This year we've got 15, 16 thousand people coming to the show. The motorcycles are the number one hit," says Blue Ridge Bike Fest Organizer Elliot Broyles.

With so much going on over the three days at the Blue Ridge Bike Fest, you're going to need to check out the official website for all the details.

The Dokken and Great White concert is Saturday night.

For country music fans, Steve Azar will be performing as well.

Many other musical acts will be on stage.

A weekend pass is$10.

In addition to the music and the custom bikes, the event promotes motorcycle riding in our region.

On News 7 Mornin, Bob Grebe got a taste of the action, taking a portion of the basic rider safety course at Virginia Western Community College.
