Helping those in need will be as simple as sending out your mail.
On Saturday May 8th, the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is taking place in the Roanoke Valley.
On News 7 Sunday Morning, Susan Bahorich talked with Pamela Irvine of the Southwestern Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank and National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 524 President Bill Roop about the event.
People in the Roanoke area are asked to place non-persishable food items in a bag and leave them beside your mailbox on the 8th.
Your letter carrier will then pick up the bag and deliver them to local food banks and pantries.
