A Roanoke school program has fallen to budget cuts.
Wednesday morning, the school board formally voted to close CITY school.
News7 visited the downtown program in March.
CITY school was for high school seniors and focused on AP English and Government.
In addition to rigorous work, students were required to do community service.
Forty-student were enrolled in the program this year.
The school system says similar programs will now be offered at both city high schools.
