UPDATED: 4:05 p.m.

Roanoke police say a truck and a car collided inside the Airport Road tunnel.  An airport spokesperson said the truck is owned by the Federal Aviation Administration.

The driver of the car, Shirley Wade of New Castle, was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and was listed in good condition.

The driver of the truck, Joseph Seifert of Roanoke County, was charged with failure to maintain proper control.

The Airport Road tunnel in Roanoke has reopened after an accident on Thursday. 

A Roanoke Regional Airport spokesperson said the tunnel was reopened around 2:30 p.m. 

The spokesperson did not have any information about injuries.
