Blacksburg High School students graduate

Burruss Hall is usually filled with Virginia Tech students, but on Sunday it's where Blacksburg High School seniors turned into grads.

After a grueling schedule of night classes since the gym roof at the high school collapsed in February, students were all smiles to walk the stage and accept their diplomas.

"I'm excited, high school's over, ready to move on to the next chapter of our lives," says graduate Tony Delpercio.

Dr. Michael Ellerbrock, a professor at Virginia Tech, gave the commencement speech. It included words of wisdom for post-graduation life.

Ellerbrock assured students the next chapter would be "a piece of cake" because of their past four years spent at Blacksburg High School.
