State Police are investigating a deputy-involved shooting in Pulaski County.
Officials say two Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputies were trying to arrest 32-year-old John Benton Hodges of Pulaski. He was wanted on several felony charges.
Around 1 p.m., deputies chased Hodges into a home near the New River Valley Fairgrounds in Dublin. That's when deputies say Hodges pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the deputies. That's when one of the deputies shot Hodges.
Hodges was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
The deputy involved has been placed on administrative leave.

Two Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputies were attempting to arrest a wanted subject on Felony charges today at 12:58pm in a neighborhood off of Rt-100 near the New River Valley Fairgrounds in the Dublin area of Pulaski County.
The Subject John Benton Hodges age 32 of Pulaski was wanted on several felony charges and was located at a residence in Dublin, Va.
