MARTINSVILLE, Va. — The late model stock car race at Martinsville formerly known as the Taco Bell 300 and most recently the Bailey's 300 will have a new name this fall.

The Martinsville Speedway announced the deal as part of a new partnership this morning and the event will now be called the Virginia is for Racing Lovers 300 for at least the next three years.

Track officials are stoked about the agreement with the Virginia Tourism Corporation, especially given the current economy.

"I think it's just a great tie because there's so many people from Virginia - competitors, fans. There's so many tracks in Virginia that make up the field for this race so i think it's a good fit," said Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell.

More than a hundred teams will try to make the prestigious event on October 3rd. As usual, the winner's share of the purse is $25,000 and a grandfather clock.
