New bus routes in Lynchburg could cause confusion for some riders but Lynchburg's Transit Authority says it will make the ride quicker and more reliable for passengers.
The new bus routes will go into effect August 22.
The changes will help keep the buses running on schedule on more cost-effective routes, said Greater Lynchburg Transit Company employees.
Very few stops were eliminated and some stops were added at locations like the new Walmart on Forest Road, according to GLTC employees.
"Some are reacting to it ok, some isn't. But like I said, we cannot please everybody so we are still going to have someone not satisfied, no matter what you do. But in the long run it will work out just fine," said Geneva Rose a GLTC Board Member.
A meeting was held Monday to inform the public of the changes. New schedules were distributed and employees answered questions on any changes.
