LYNCHBURG, Va. — UPDATE:

The Lynchburg Police department is looking for a person of interest in connection with a September 14 shooting.

Police are searching for Lorenzo Markees Callands, 22 of Lynchburg. Police say they believe Callands has information regarding the shooting.

Two men were arrested in connection with the Kingston Avenue shooting on Sept. 14.

Lynchburg police have arrested two people for shooting into houses.

Khiry Isiah Withers, 20, and John Pierre Hall, 25, are accused of firing shots into occupied homes in the 2000 block of Kingston Avenue.

Both men are charged with three counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling and a separate count of shooting from a motor vehicle.

Detectives say they are investigating whether the shooting incidents may be gang related.

Hall and Withers were both arrested Tuesday.  Hall was taken into custody at a home on Toledo Avenue.  Withers surrendered a short time later at police headquarters on Court Street.
