LYNCHBURG, Va. — The stars are out in Lynchburg, dancing for a good cause.

The 2nd annual Dancing with the Lynchburg Stars was held Saturday night at the James River Conference Center.

The event is a fundraiser for the Virginia School of the Arts (VSA), a residential dance and performing arts school in Lynchburg.

Community leaders like Lynchburg College president Kenneth Garren and his wife Sheila showed off their best moves.

They were judged by a panel that included Lynchburg mayor Joan Foster.

Organizers say the event brought in more than $40,000 for programming, staff, and scholarship efforts at VSA.
