ROANOKE, Va. —

Chuck Griffin is not your normal investigator-- he's looking for the paranormal here at the Coffee Pot roadhouse in Roanoke.

Tiffany Lawrence is the owner and says the bar and restaurant is a prime place for things that go bump in the night.

"Stuff will be moved around, spices will be in places they're not supposed to be and things will disappear and well all look for it and the next day it will be right there in plain view," she says.

That's why Griffin is here. For years, he's been using simple equipment to try and get proof of life after death. He uses cameras and camcorders to find evidence.

"And I'll sit there and look for any imperfection in that picture," he says. "I'm looking for the bogey man."

He showed us what he's been able to find.

Now he's set up here at the Roanoke roadhouse in the middle of the night, trying to draw out a ghost staff say used to be an old cook for the place.

"I believe that there's ghosts," says bartender, Heather Warrick. "There is a spirit out there."

What started as a hobby for Griffin has turned into a passion.. one he says might be a higher calling.

"I dunno, I just have a knack for bringing them to me. I dont know what it is, my kids don't even want to stay in my house," laughs Griffin.
