Shooting in Danville Under Investigation

3 Victims suffered gunshot wounds.

Danville, Va.---

A night of fun took a violent turn for three people early this morning in Danville, and now, police need your help in finding a shooter.

It happened just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday along the 300 block of Stuart Street.

The three victims say they were leaving a party when someone started shooting.

No word on the extent of their injuries, but at 6:00 a.m. Sunday, authorities told News 7 one of the victims was in surgery.

Malicious Wounding

The Danville Police responded to shots being fired in the area of South Main St. and Watson St. at approximately 3:22AM. The police also received a call that 3 individuals were at the DRMC emergency room being treated for gunshot wounds. The 3 victims reported that they were leaving a party in the 300 block of Stuart St. when someone started shooting. The investigation is ongoing at time of report.
