A touchy issue has created a bit of a stir in Lexington.

The head of the Sons of Confederate Veterans group is upset at City Council's decision surrounding  the historic yet controversial Confederate flag.

The SCV wants to fly three types of Confederate flags on downtown streets for five days next month.

City council says the Confederate flags can fly for three of those days but not on the official Lee-Jackson and Martin Luther King holiday's.

The Confederate group says council is being bias against their symbols.

City officials however say it's standard policy to only fly U-S and state flags on state and federal holidays.
