Roanoke, Va. — There were a few dozen very special guests of honor expected at a feast Saturday afternoon.

Sheetz gas stations teamed up with the Salvation Army to throw a holiday party called "For the Kids".  These are kids whose parents might be a little down on their luck.

"We have seen more families this Christmas that have never signed up for Christmas help before that have come to us for help," says Priscilla Carter. Family Services Director at the Salvation Army.

"Stores and volunteers shopped a couple, three weeks ago. Presents were wrapped and today we're going to invite the kids in and have a party to give their presents," says Bob Murphy of Sheetz.

Sheetz employees have been hosting this particular event since the 80's.
