ROANOKE CO., Va — Who has the golden ticket?  That's the question after Tuesday night's drawing.

The Mega Millions jackpot hit $355 million and many people rushed out to buy tickets hoping to win big.

The Stop-In Food Store on Cloverdale Road in Roanoke County was busy Tuesday.  The store sold more than 1,500 tickets.  Usually, it's about 400 for a Mega Millions drawing.

But this jackpot was the second highest in Mega Millions history. That's why the line was long.
People here had lottery fever.

"I decided to go out and buy some tickets," says Leah Franks who bought 100 tickets, "I just never play so I just had the urge."

"We played last time," says Greg Sexton who purchased 35 tickets, "Saw it on the news tonight $355 million and figured might as well take a chance."

If someone does match all the numbers in Mega Millions, the cash payout is about $224 million.

The odds of winning are one in 176 million. You actually have a better chance of getting hit by lightning. Those odds are 1 in 6,200 according to the National Weather Service.

The Mega Millions winning numbers are 4,8,15,25 and 47. The Mega Ball is 42.
