UPDATED: Police identify victim of fatal crash on Route 460 in Bedford County

State police say a utility truck ran off the eastbound lanes of Route 460 and flipped near New London

NEW LONDON, Va. — Police have identified the victim of a fatal crash Wednesday morning.

Trooper J. Edgell says Bruce Sellick was killed after the truck he was in flipped.

The 34-year-old was from Campbell County.

His brother, Gordon was also a passenger in the vehicle.

He was injured, but treated and released from a nearby hospital.

State police say the truck's driver, Jose Gonzalez, fell asleep behind the wheel.

The 57-year-old from Appomattox was charged with reckless driving.

Gonzalez is in stable condition at the hospital.

He's being held overnight for observation.

A deadly accident in Bedford County tied up traffic for several hours Wednesday.

A utility truck ran off the eastbound lanes of Route 460 and flipped near New London just before 8:00 a.m.

Three men were inside the vehicle when it crashed.  State police say one of those men died at the scene.  The other two were taken to a nearby hospital.  We're still waiting to learn their names.

The accident closed one lane of Route 460 east for several hours.
