CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. — A young Blacksburg man got a new scooter after his was stolen.
NEWS7 told you about JC Via on Wednesday.
The 22 year old was born with a brain tumor leaving him blind in one eye and with limited use of his right arm.
His scooter was his little bit of freedom.
Someone stole it three weeks ago, but thanks to NEWS7 viewers Lee and Renee Smith of Shawsville, JC picked out a brand new one on Friday!

"I feel that somebody out there does care about my independence," said JC Via.
"When I seen the story it just touched my heart and I've always been the type of person to follow my heart. So that night I immediately emailed you and told you what I wanted to do," explained Smith.

Blacksburg Police Officer Chico Cole, a friend of JC, was also a big help in bringing everyone together to make this happen.
Front Line Motor Sports in Christiansburg sold the scooter at cost to Smith.
The dealership also gave JC a helmet and lock for his new scooter.
