ROCKY MOUNT, Va — An old tradition is new again in Franklin County.
For the first time since 1990, Franklin County High School held a homecoming parade.
"I think it's great." says student Brianna Taylor, "They haven't had it in a couple of years so I think it's a good thing. You know get it back in business."
"So it's good fun for them to do team work, get together, decorate and plan floats," says Connie Webster who rode in the parade with people from the class of 1971.
Students put a lot of time into their floats. There were 28 groups.
This was the first homecoming parade at Franklin County High School since 1990. People hope it's here to stay and judging by the crowd watching from the sidewalks the home team scored a win.
