ROANOKE, Va. — There are only three of these in Virginia and one is right here in Roanoke; Doctors Express-- an urgent care clinic open seven days a week.
Steve Osborn is a physician at Doctors Express and he says their hope is to deliver medical care when most clinics are closed. "The goal is to get people back to the rooms in fifteen to twenty minutes, assuming we don’t have an onslaught of people at once. There are no appointments, just walk-ins, and it’s going to be considerably less expensive than an emergency room," explained Osborn.
Workers say this is not for patients with chronic disease or emergency care.
The urgent-care clinic opens Saturday, December 3rd, at Towers Mall on Brandon Avenue.
