Friends of two missing teenage girls in Danville have a gut feeling they're dead. The girls may be connected to a burned out car found in North Carolina.

The burned out car was found in Ruffin in Rockingham County, North Carolina Monday morning.

Firefighters found one body inside the car and a second body was discovered on the ground nearby.

The bodies were so badly burned authorities don't know if they were men or women.

The Rockingham County Sheriff says they're looking at a missing persons report from Danville which Danville police deny.

A Danville man who lives with the girls says the burned out car in North Carolina matches the car the girls were driving. He says they're waiting for police to confirm the two bodies are his friends.

"I think it's pretty much we realize exactly what they're going to tell us but still we're still in a holding pattern until we get that 100% confirmation," says Paul Scearce, the boyfriend of the woman the girls live with.

The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office says they will announce the names of the two bodies as soon as they receive word from the medical examiner.
