There's still time to vote in the Virginia Republican Primary

Polls are open until 7 p.m.

Turnout here in Virginia is expected to be low. Only Mitt Romney and Ron Paul are on the ballot after Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich failed to get enough signatures to get on the ballot.

And no candidate has done any campaigning in this part of the state.

Some people WDBJ7 spoke to today didn't even know there was a primary.

It may be hard for some of you to believe but turnout in some precincts is expected to be in the single digits. That's unusual for a presidential primary in an election year.

In fact at the Salem Civic Center, polling workers were busier putting together a puzzle than helping voters.

This is a primary that clearly went under the radar.

But if you just now have decided you want to vote, the Republican primary is open to any registered voter, even if you're a Democrat.

But no write-in candidates are allowed. The polls close at 7.
