Lawrence Parsons had 19 points and 14 rebounds, 9 blocks. Deion George had 12 points and 6 rebounds.

Galax defends its title, beating Amelia 66 to 49 repeating as state champs.

"It just means so much for us to represent, and for us to get two, that's unbelievable," Verl Brown, Galax head coach said. "I could just fall out right here, right now."

George said: "Like Coach Brown said, it's hard to come back here two times. Some people don't even make it to the state championship like this. It's a great feeling, ma'am. I'm proud. I'm a senior. I had a great time at Galax High School."
