LYNCHBURG, Va. — Updated: 5:30 p.m.

A Lynchburg man says he was minding his own business, when he was shot on the way back from a convenience store.

Shareef Shelton didn't want to go on camera Saturday, but he showed us an injury on his right arm.

He was shot Friday night in a parking lot at the James Crossing Apartments. Shelton says a man came out of nowhere and started firing at a crowd of people.

He believes the bullet was meant for someone else. Neighbors are angry someone would shoot a gun with so many people around.

Police are looking for David Lee Boyd. He's accused of shooting Shelton.

If you know where he is, call 9-1-1 or Lynchburg Police.
