MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Martinsville Speedway has announced its 2013 dates for its NASCAR Sprint Cup races.
The first Sprint Cup weekend at "The Paperclip" will be April 5-7. The fall weekend race will be October 25-27.
Once again, both of the 2013 races will be accompanied by a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.
“We’ve got our traditional dates back again and we’re very pleased with that,” Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell wrote in a news release. “The first weekend in April and the last weekend in October have worked very well for us. Everyone is just getting excited about the season in early April and in the fall we’re at a crucial point in The Chase.”
For 2012, there is still some NASCAR racing to be done at Martinsville.
This year's fall Sprint Cup race is Oct. 28, and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is Oct. 27. Practice and qualifying is Oct. 26.
