BEDFORD CO., Va. — A local woman is in the hospital after a rollover crash in Bedford County.
Virginia State Police say Frances Lynch was driving on Route 460, just east of Route 684 at about 6:00p.m. Saturday. Investigators say another vehicle changed lanes suddenly in front of Lynch, which caused her to run her Chevy Blazer off the road. Lynch overcorrected, and troopers say her vehicle flipped several times before it rested on its roof.
Lynch was taken to Bedford Memorial Hospital. Her condition is not known.
Virginia State Police say Route 460 was closed for about an hour and a half until the wreck could be cleared up.

The Virginia State Police are continuing their investigation into a single vehicle crash that occurred Saturday evening around 6:00 pm on Route 460 just east of Route 684 in Bedford County County. The investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Blazer that was being operated by Frances Lynch, age 65, of Blue Ridge, Va. was traveling eastbound on Route 460 when a vehicle changed lanes suddenly in front of her causing the vehicle to run off the right side of the roadway. Lynch over corrected and then crossed both eastbound lanes before she went into the median causing the vehicle to flip over several times before it came to rest on it's top . Both westbound lanes of Route 460 were closed for approximately 1.5 hours until the wreck could be cleared up. Lynch was transported by ambulance to Bedford Memorial Hospital. No charges have been filed.
