Second drug bust in a week at Pulaski Budget Inn leads to arrest, drug charges

PULASKI CO., Va. — Police arrested and charged a man in relation to a drug bust at a motel in Pulaski on Thursday.

This is the second drug bust that took place at the Pulaski Budget Inn within the same week.

Pulaski police reportedly received a service call at the Budget Inn at 509 East Main Street in Pulaski around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.

While officers were at the motel, they identified drug activity in one of the rooms. Officers then obtained search warrants for four rooms and a vehicle parked in the parking lot.

An unspecified amount of crack cocaine, marijuana, and various types of Schedule II, III, and IV prescription medications were found during the search. Officers also found about $2,100.


According to a news release, DuJuan Cannon, 31, was arrested and charged with 4 felonies in relation to the bust. Cannon faces charges involving possession and possession with intent to distribute schedule I, II, III, and IV narcotics and one misdemeanor of possession of marijuana.

Cannon is held without bond at the New River Valley Regional Jail.

Misdemeanor citations were issued to two other individuals in relation to the incident. Both were released from the scene.

Police say they busted a meth lab at the same hotel on Monday.
