If too many employees are sick and have huge medical bills, it can really add up for a business owner. Now a local hospital believes it has the cure. Danville Regional Medical Center is now offering a wellness program to help businesses and employees. A panel of physicians works with each business encouraging employees to become healthier and more productive on the job. One big benefit; the program helps employers control rising workers' compensation costs. "We can come in and do safety talks, we can do needs analysis of their workplace, then at that point we can let them know what it is, and that we see, that they could do that would be safer," said Jeanne Ashworth, the hospital's "WellnessWorks" corporate health consultant.
