Interstate 81

NEWS

This morning's wintry weather made for a scary drive for those of you on Interstate 81.  With a lot of people traveling after the holiday, those conditions were far from ideal. The roads were slippery, but some people even had a hard time walking around the Ironto rest stop in Montgomery County. Things have been slow moving on 81 all day; a combination of people being cautious and stuck in traffic. Plows have been out in full force, but it's still been slow moving just about everywhere, especially in higher elevations.

Now, everybody on Interstate 581 South in Roanoke can see the charred remains of what once was for Williams' and General Truck Body. But not all is lost. Williams has moved General Truck Body to Forest, where he has been cozied in with Forestry Equipment of Virginia and owner Mark Sharmon.
