Police in Lynchburg are investigating a robbery. They say it happened in the 1500 block of Fort Manor Drive just before 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. At least two people apparently broke into a home there. There was at least one person inside at the time.

The search is on for a suspect, one Danville Police believe is armed and dangerous. Derrick White is accused of robbing a man Friday on Charles Street, ripping off a cell phone and a wallet. While the 26-year-old hasn't been caught, authorities have already charged him with with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Roanoke Police are searching for a man who stole a moped and then shot the owner early Friday. The victim told police that he saw the man trying to steal his moped in front of his home. When he went outside to confront the man, he pulled out a gun and demanded the keys. When the victim handed the keys over, the thief shot him. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover. Police in Danville are investigating a robbery. Officers responded to a call at the Fas Mart on South Boston Road Sunday night. It happened just before 10:00pm. They say a man came into the store, reached into the cash register and took some money. The man drove away in a red Honda Civic. No one was hurt during the robbery. If you know anything about this, please call police.

An arrest has been made in a Martinsville bank robbery. Investigators say John Bowles walked into the BB&T bank on Elsworth Street around 1:30 p.m. Monday and handed the teller a note. Bowles left on foot, and was arrested a short time later at the corner of Main and Clay Street. He has been charged with one count of robbery.

The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery. Authorities were called to the Friendly Corner Store on Mountain Road near Halifax around 9:21 p.m. Tuesday for a reported armed robbery. The sheriff's office says two individuals came into the store wearing all black, pointed a handgun at two store clerks, and told them to get on the floor. The suspects left with an undetermined amount of cash.  No one was injured during the robbery.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Halifax County Sheriff's Office at 434-476-3339.

And an attempted robbery has Roanoke Police looking for the suspects. It happened in the 5400 block of Williamson Road just after 5:00 a.m. Officers say a woman was inside Happy's Flea Market when two men approached her. They took out a gun and demanded money. They didn't get any and took off. Police in Salem are looking for two men who robbed a 7-Eleven. It happened at the store along East Main Street at the Electric Road intersection, just before 11:00 Sunday night. Officers say two men walked in with a gun and asked for money. The store clerk gave them the cash. One of the robbers hit a second clerk and took some personal items. Salem Police investigators are working with Roanoke Police. This robbery could be connected to two others that happened over the weekend.

A convenience store on Melrose Avenue in Roanoke was robbed Monday evening. Investigators say shortly after 10 p.m. two men wearing masks walked into the Quick Way Mart in the 5000 block of Melrose Avenue and demanded money. One of the suspects had a gun. After stealing money the two men drove off in a light-colored SUV headed south on Peck Street. No arrests have been made. Click here to see surveillance pictures of the two suspects. The Vinton Police Department and other Roanoke Valley law enforcement agencies are investigating whether or not a string of armed robberies may have been committed by the same man. The first robbery happened Friday at a tobacco shop on Washington Avenue in Roanoke County. That incident prompted a lockdown at William Byrd High School and middle school. On Sunday morning, the Subway store at 987 Hardy Road in Vinton was robbed at gunpoint. On Monday afternoon, the Pizza Hut at 1060 Bypass Road in Vinton was robbed by a man with a gun. In the robberies on Sunday and Monday, the suspect wore a grey shirt, dark pants, and covered his face.

Right now, Vinton Police what to know if you know who robbed the Vinton Subway on Hardy Road Sunday morning around 9:30. The man walked into the store, pulled out a gun and demaded money from the clerk. He was last seen walking south toward the Vinton Bowling Alley. Anyone with information on who this robber is should give police a call. The lockdown at William Byrd High School and middle school has been lifted. The lockdown was in place for around 90 minutes after an armed robbery at a tobacco store around 9:35 a.m. in the 2400 block of Washington Avenue. Roanoke County Schools spokesperson Chuck Lionberger says there will be an increased police presence throughout the day at both schools. No students and staff were ever in any danger. Students said they were nervous when they were told the school would have to go on lockdown.

The Danville Police Department is looking for a home invasion suspect that an officer shot at on Tuesday night. The incident happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night in the 700 block of Claiborne Street. Investigators say an armed man broke into the home. When officers arrived at the home, a woman frantically ran outside and told them a masked man was inside with a gun. When officers entered the home they saw a man near the back door holding a gun. Police say the man pointed the gun at officers, and one of the officers fired a shot at him. As the officers took cover, the man ran out the back door.

Danville Police are looking for who robbed a convenience store this morning. It happened around 7 this morning at the Speedway Mart along North Main Street. A worker said a man came into the store and pulled out a handgun, demanding money. He took off after getting the cash. Anyone with information about this robbery should give Danville Police a call.

The City of Lynchburg is looking for two suspects who they believe stole copper and office materials from a warehouse. It happened Wednesday in the 800 block of Garnett Street. The suspects stole copper wiring and some office equipment, which was valued at several thousand dollars. The two suspects were seen on security video. Click here to see pictures of the suspects.
