The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery. Authorities were called to the Friendly Corner Store on Mountain Road near Halifax around 9:21 p.m. Tuesday for a reported armed robbery. The sheriff's office says two individuals came into the store wearing all black, pointed a handgun at two store clerks, and told them to get on the floor. The suspects left with an undetermined amount of cash.  No one was injured during the robbery.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Halifax County Sheriff's Office at 434-476-3339.

Authorities are looking for two men following an armed robbery at a store in Halifax County Saturday night. It happened around 8:00 at the Friendly Corner Store on Mountain Road near Halifax. Store clerks say two men wearing all black rushed into the store brandishing handguns and demanding money from the register. The two men got away on foot. Authorities are still investigating.

Police are investigating an armed robbery in Danville. Officers say three men went inside Juniors Convenience Store on West Main Street wearing ski masks.  They say at least two of the men had guns. The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot toward Old Mayfield Road. No one was hurt in the incident.

Police in Blacksburg have arrested a man following an armed robbery early Friday morning. Authorities say 38-year-old Allen Wayne Odum was riding in an acquaintance's car around 12:30 when he displayed a hand gun and demanded money. Odum allegedly got away on foot with some cash in the 1700 block of South Main Street. He was arrested Saturday and is held without bond.

Police are investigating a robbery at a Roanoke business. It happened Tuesday night around 10 at the Sky Mart in the 3900 block of Melrose Avenue. A female store clerk says the suspect came in, showed a gun, assaulted her and then left.  The victim was not hurt. She says the suspect was wearing all black, including a black mask and shoes. Anyone with information is asked to call the Roanoke Police Department at 540-853-5959.

Danville Police are investigating an attack and a robbery. A woman walked out of her apartment on Richmond Boulevard around 4 a.m. Sunday when she says eight men jumped her. The victim told police the men hit her in the face and knocked her to the ground.  She says they continued beating her before they stole her purse and ran off. The woman was taken to Danville Regional Medical Center for her injuries.

Police are looking for the two men responsible for robbing another man in Danville early Monday morning. It happened around 1:30 in the 600 block of Cardinal Place. Authorities say one of the men held the victim down while the the other cut him with a box cutter. The suspects got away on foot. The victim received minor injuries.

Roanoke Police are looking for two men they say shot a man they tried robbing Thursday night. The victim, identified as Alan Wiley Wright, told officers he was approached by the pair as he was walking back to his car, which was parked near the intersection of Mountain Ave. and 2nd St. One man pulled out a gun and demanded money.  Wright was shot when he tried to flee. He drove himself to the hospital where he was treated. Anyone with information on this attempted robbery is asked to contact Roanoke Police.

Police in Danville are investigating a burglary. They say it happened Sunday night at 10:00 p.m. at a home in the 800 block of Main Street. According to the person living there, a window was damaged and a gun is missing. Officers have charged a juvenile, who's now in the W. W. Moore Juvenile Detention Home. They are still investigating the burglary. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Danville Crimestoppers at (434) 793-0000. Citizens who contact Crimestoppers by telephone may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Lynchburg police say a man was robbed in the laundry room of his apartment building. It happened around 1:00 p.m. April 13 at an apartment complex on Atherholt Road. Police say three black men walked into the laundry room, with one of the suspects pointing a silver gun at the victim.  They took money from the victim and left without hurting him. Investigators say the suspects are between 19 and 20 years old, 5'9"- 6' tall, thin, and wearing black shirts.  Two of the suspects were wearing dark colored pants.
