Southwest and central Virginia’s preeminent broadcast journalist will retire in May.   Keith Humphry joined WDBJ7 in 1980 and has anchored “News7 at Six” for 31 years.   Whether he’s investigating corruption, telling the story of a D-Day veteran, or getting the door slammed in his face by an angry subject of an investigation, Humphry’s storytelling takes viewers right along with him.   Humphry said, “WDBJ7 has let me follow any story wherever it led.  No matter what the commercial impact or whose interest was at stake, if a story was worth telling, the company always backed me up.”   He has been the face of “News7 at Six” longer than any other anchor.
